Kids to 2010 Xtreme 5K Race at Camp Loughridge

The Kids to Camp run provides critical scholarship monies to help economically disadvantaged children attend a week of fellowship, outdoor education and awesome camaraderie in a day camp format. It’s all about getting kids outdoors, doing things they love to do: archery, arts & crafts, canoeing, challenge and R.O.P.E.S. events, chapel, court sports and games, dance, nature, sports field games, and swimming.

Your help can disconnect children from their electronic tethers, and place them in the serene, excitement and sanctuary of Camp Loughridge, a nationally accredited Summer Day camp. Established in 1959, Camp Loughridge was the former site of the YWCA Camp Parthenia, a former summer camp and temporary home for over 1,500 widows and orphans during the Great Depression

Providing summer memories to last a life time, today it’s a place adults renew their spirits and kids get to be kids.

Partnered with the Autism Center of Tulsa, Tulsa Public Schools, the Mental Health Association of Tulsa, Kids for Christ U.S.A., Tulsa Community College (supports deaf children), the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, and many others, Camp Loughridge provides a means for those who could not normally participate to experience a Classic Summer Camp.

Last year, programs like the 5K and 1 Mile run, raised a combined $56,000 in scholarships to send Kids to Camp. This year we hope to grow this number through vital support from YOU!
